Our Mission

Once upon a time I fell in love with horses and that feeling has grown stronger as the years went by.  This is the story of the last twelve years.  But, I think I’ll let Pipi in spirit (Pirata) tell you the story…

Thank you for reading, Karina

In 2012 Obi and I were almost retired polo poneys, we had had a long career with riders of all sorts and we were in dire need of a new home.  We met our human companion the summer of 2012 and the magic happened.  Needless to say that our companion did not know anything about horses since back then she was working as a scientist (I don't know what that means, but it sounds funny).  For an entire year, every sunday, she would bring carrots to us and all our friends with whom we shared the park (we were almost 20 ).  We ALL waited for that moment, she was always smiling and treated us all as her equals, there was always joy and love. A year later, our companion decided to purchase us from the polo club and our new life began.

We felt really sad for our other friends, but we were ready for a new beginning and we knew that they would always be our friends.  Our days were calm and peaceful, we were always cared for with love and respect.  Since we were aging, we started having beds inside and our meals had plenty of yummy things.

A year later, in 2014,  a new friend was added to our gang, our beautiful Lupita.  She had also worked as a polo poney, but she was left completely blind after a polo ball hit her on her fore-head.  Lupi was going to be "terminated" because she was considered too dangerous, but we rescued her and after many months (years) and a lot of effort Lupi started trusting us and humans again.

In september 2015,  I left my physical body to join my friends in horsie heaven where I keep watch over my family that keeps growing every day.  My human mommy, as I call our best human friend ever,  decided for a long time that she wanted to help us horsies, so in 2022 she and her hubbie bought a farm and in 2023 all my family moved to Nouvelle Aquitaine,  8 retired polo poney, 3 school horsies, 7 cats and 1 dog.

Our goal is to continue helping horsies of all walks of life and for that we created a nursery for poneys that need to take a rest from the sport or for retired horses that are looking to spend their golden years in a beautiful setting being looked after like queens and kings.

We hope you help us create and support this dream.

Peace and love, Pipi
